When you hear the word elopement, you might imagine a quick trip to the courthouse to say your vows and that's it. However, this is not true for many couples who choose to elope. An elopement is less about the time it takes and more about the value you place on your day. It's about getting married in a way that feels authentic to you both as a couple, and the entire day should be an experience that reflects that. Your timeline should be designed to make the most of your elopement experience.

Getting ready – Don’t skip it! It can be loads of fun to get ready together.

First look- If you decide you would prefer to get ready separately a first look can still be a wonderful option and spend a few minutes being together in this moment before you become husband and wife

Photos with guests - If you’re having a few guests and family members before the ceremony is a great time to get the formal photos done. There will be a lot of candids throughout the day, but the formal photos you will cherish differently, so let’s make sure to take a little time for them!

Couples photos - There will be lots of these throughout your day. We will plan a time for these and a location or two depending on your elopement location. As a photographer, I try to have you be your most authentic selves and have fun in these photos!

Activities and Adventures – This is what makes each elopement unique to you as a couple. There are so many things to consider when choosing your activities, whether it’s kayaking on the lake at sunset, having your first dance next to a campfire, cake cutting, champagne or beer toasts, night photos among the stars, having a fall wedding think about carving pumpkins. Eloping is all about the experiences, and that means your day is customizable to anything you can imagine doing together. The best way to start off your lifetime together is doing what you both love and having the best time doing it!
